Nathaniel Owen,
You entered the world on the 23rd of November.
This is a day that will always be remembered.

You were four weeks early and only seven pounds.
You were tiny and content, rarely making sounds.
You were always happy.
When you gave us your first smile, Mommy became quite sappy.
When you were two months old, you were getting tickled.
You let out the most precious first giggles.
By May, you were eating baby food.
Large messes soon ensued.
In July, your first tooth made its debut.
With all that pain, I am very glad it finally broke through.
On August 12th, you took off crawling across the floor.
Within the next week, you were pulling up and finally off all fours.
By September, you were doing all sorts of fun tricks
Everyone giggled at your adorable antics.
You now believe that big brother is best
Although he may think you are quite a pest.
“Uh-Oh” and "TayTu", you can now say,
But “Da-Da” and "Ma-Ma" are what you will hear most of the day.
You now give big sloppy kisses and random cuddles
In Mommy’s opinion, you could dish these out in bundles.
As you can see, you have had a busy year,
Hard to believe your First Birthday is already here.
Happy first Birthday baby boy. You are huge blessing in our lives. Thank you for bringing so many smiles, giggles, cuddles, and even more love into our lives. We love you to the moon and back little man!
Love,
Daddy, Mommy, and Big Brother Sammy
Here are some of your 12 Month Stats:
- You are happy most of the time.
- You don’t like when we leave the room but, if you can see us, you are a content little guy.
- You adore your big brother.
- You still only have four teeth and are still working on four more.
- You love, love, love cars and push them around our tile floor, making car noises.
- You are a great sleeper (11-12 hours at night and two 2-3 hour naps during the day).
- You love to eat and will eat almost anything I put on your high chair.
- You do not love cow’s milk or sippy cups but we are working on it.
- You weigh about 27 pounds (90th percentile) and are about 33 inches long (95th percentile).
- You are wearing 18/24 month clothes.
- You are very close to walking but loose confidence when you aren’t holding onto something. You took six steps all by yourself last night.
- You still raise your arms when we say “So Big!”, clap, give high-fives, play peek-a-boo, and wave but you now also put your hands on your head when we say “oh my!”
- You can say “mama”, “dada”, “uhoh”, and thank you (“tatu”).
